What Our Clients Are Saying
GoodBased on 398 reviewsMelissa Jones2023-07-18I love the hospitality and kindness the workers have. The rooms are always clean and it just feels like home thereDavid Muse2023-06-14Stayed 2 nights. 1st night was great. 2nd day came back to the room and the bathroom sink was full of bugs. No one was available as they leave at 6 pm. Contacted Expedia and sent pictures of the bugs. They will sort it out with the hotel as I have to leave tomorrow before anyone arrives. Would like to upload pictures but won’t allow it.weicreation2023-06-04Relatively less expensive in French quarter neighborhood, but, the windows are blocked, no view from rooms, the bed sheet were not changed. Can’t believe I went to see the hotel, as I wanted to stay more days, and been told my room was the next one to be cleaned and this still happened. No reception after 6pm, the pillow was clearly dirty, the sheet had wrinkles over folding lines, dirty on the other side. I called their number but only voice message, and called the emergency number no one answered either and no one came after I left a message, had to sleep on the old mattress. The weather was cool, no blanket, didn’t want the fan, but the switch didn’t work, the cable from the fan was too short, had to step on the chair to reach it, the hanger doesn’t work and finally made a loop with my umbrella’s handle and pulled it off, had to leave my umbrella hanging. Very difficult night. The next day the manager very easily said he couldn’t understand my voice message, “the sheets is dirty”, what’s hard to understand? They refused to give any kind of compensation, so, here I write this review accordingly.Dawn Harris2023-05-27The staff were nice and hospital. The room .... welp.....needs a complete renovation and deep cleaning.Dusty Williams2023-05-19I loved it!!! So helpful and friendly! Cleanest room out there! I would stay again and again and I will go back when I have longer to enjoy the city!!! I love the authenticity of this hotel! Was amazing. Can not say enough good things about this place!Randy C2023-05-16This place was a filthy, old, dump. The room's stunk and the air conditioning didn't work. I had to fight through my credit card to get my deposit back we left after 2 hours. We couldn't even sleep there one night. ****Couple years later update. I see the general manager Don Kirby wrote a response about the deposit.. We DID get charged a deposit because it was that time right after one of the hurricanes. All the hotels we're booked and the NCAA championship, I think, was down there. I work with my Discover credit card, and they were able to credit my account because they had a record of me in another hotel at 3 times the amount because this New Orleans Guest House was so horrible. If you're just an old drunk looking for a cheap place to stay... this might meet your expectations.David Thol2023-05-15Muy lindo el lugar, el duño es muy amable y atento, super cerca del centro nos desplazamos caminando sin ningún problema. Excellent location ???? ????
