NOLA CRAWFISH FESTIVAL 2025

Oh honey, if you thought Jazz Fest was the main course, let me serve you up a little spicy lagniappe—the NOLA Crawfish Festival, our city’s delicious little secret that sizzles between the Jazz Fest weekends, this year taking place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—April 28th, 29th, & 30th, 2025. That’s right, baby—this is the 10th Anniversary of this gloriously steamy celebration of crawfish, cold brews, and music that’ll make your hips lie (sorry, Shakira).

Now, as the proud Marketing Director of the Historic Mardi Gras Inn, I know a thing or two about where to stay and what to slay during your visit to New Orleans. First off—YES, darlin’, our inn is now proudly LGBTQ+ owned and operated. We’re not just rainbow-wrapped in June—we live the lifestyle year-round. If you’re looking for clean, affordable accommodations with a warm, welcoming staff who’ll treat you like kin (the kind you actually like), we’ve got you. No false promises here—just real NOLA hospitality with a healthy side of camp.

Let’s talk about this red-hot festival, shall we?

So What Is the NOLA Crawfish Festival?

Think of it as NOLA’s way of giving y’all a juicy reason to stick around between Jazz Fest weekends. Why go home and twiddle your thumbs (or worse—work) when you could be elbow-deep in crawfish and drenched in the soul-quaking sounds of Louisiana’s finest musicians?

This ain’t your average backyard boil. The NOLA Crawfish Festival is a three-day blowout of live music, fresh-off-the-boat crawfish, cold craft beers, and that unbeatable “Only in New Orleans” energy. It’s cajun zest meets jam band fever, and baby, you’re invited.

This Year’s Lineup? Spicier Than a Crab Boil

We’re talking a lineup packed tighter than a po’boy from Parkway. Expect returning fan-favorite acts and some brand-new grooves that’ll get your booty shaking under the oak trees. If you like your funk greasy and your zydeco zesty, you’ll be right at home. From New Orleans funk legends to swampy blues and a little dirty rock and roll—this is a musical buffet that pairs perfectly with the five pounds of crawfish you’re going to accidentally inhale.

And don’t even think about showing up without your appetite—or your stretchy pants. These boil buckets come stacked high with corn, potatoes, and sausage so spicy it’ll call you “baby” and not text back.

Stay Where the Party Actually Starts

Let’s not play games. If you’re coming to New Orleans for Jazz Fest, you already know that the in-between days can feel like a limbo of boredom… unless you’re in the know. And guess what? Now you’re in the know. The NOLA Crawfish Festival is your golden ticket to keeping the party rolling without missing a beat—or a beer.

And where should you lay that party-weary head when it’s time to crash? Just one block outside the fabulous French Quarter sits your spicy home base—the Historic Mardi Gras Inn. We are a short stumble (or a glamorous strut) from the nearest streetcar stop, and from there, sugar, the whole city opens up to you like a fresh bag of boiled crawfish.

Our charming inn is the perfect HQ for this week of indulgence. Want to sip daiquiris in the Quarter by day and then dive face-first into music and mudbugs by night? You got it. Want to walk home from Bourbon Street at 3AM in your feathers and sequins with zero judgment from the front desk? Baby, we live for it.

Because if you’re coming to New Orleans for Jazz Fest, skipping the NOLA Crawfish Festival is like leaving the club before Beyoncé comes on. Tragic.

Let’s get messy, cher.
Book your room, boil your soul, and let’s keep this party going all week long.
