COMING SOON!!!

FOURTH OF JULY-NEW ORLEANS 2025

Honey, if you’re looking to celebrate America’s birthday the way it should be celebrated—loud, proud, a little tipsy, and a whole lot fabulous—then let me roll out the red (white, and blue) carpet for you right here in the wildly wonderful city of New Orleans. The Historic Mardi Gras Inn—now LGBTQ+ owned and operated and sparkling with a fresh, full-site glow up—is your one-stop-sleepover shop for all the patriotic partying, riverfront firework-gawking, and French Quarter debauchery your little stars-and-stripes-loving heart desires.

So grab your cutest red romper, slip into those freedom-themed flip flops, and let’s talk about how to slay the entire Fourth of July weekend 2025—NOLA-style!

🎇 Thursday, July 3 – Get In, We’re Starting Early!

We don’t wait for the fourth to start partying, darling. The weekend starts early in New Orleans, and so should you! After you check in at our charming inn (located just one fabulous block from the French Quarter with a streetcar stop just a 2-minute strut away), stroll down to Frenchmen Street for live music that’ll shake your stars and stripes. Spots like The Spotted Cat Music Club and The Blue Nile will be bumpin’ with brass bands, jazz, funk, and soul till the early morning hours.

Need a cheeky cocktail to get your red, white, and buzzed on? Pop into The Phoenix Bar, just a block away from us, for something a little…kinkier. Or keep it classic and chic with a Sazerac from Carousel Bar in the Hotel Monteleone. Either way, you’re in for a fireworks pre-game like no other.

🎆 Friday, July 4 – Boom Goes the Bayou, Baby!

This is the day you came for—and it does not disappoint.

Start your day with brunch in the Quarter (may we suggest Stanley’s for eggs Benedict with a view?). Then enjoy people-watching, live street performers, and more boozy slushies than you ever thought patriotic. From beignets to bourbon, the Quarter comes alive with parades, street parties, and so much glitter you’ll be sparkling like a Roman candle.

But save your energy—because when the sun goes down, it’s time for the main event:

🎆 “Go 4th on the River” Fireworks Show
📍 Best viewing spots: Woldenberg Park, Spanish Plaza, or along the Moonwalk
🕗 Show begins: 9:00 PM sharp
💥 Cost: FREE and utterly fabulous

Darlin’, this isn’t your average backyard BBQ firework display. We’re talking dueling barges shooting synchronized, sky-splitting fireworks over the mighty Mississippi River while music pumps in the background. It’s jaw-dropping. It’s romantic. It’s downright explosive. And yes, it’s just a quick jaunt from your cozy, affordable, and oh-so-welcoming room back at the Historic Mardi Gras Inn.

🎺 Saturday, July 5 – Recover? Never Heard of Her.

Who said the party stops after the Fourth? Not us! Saturday is when locals and visitors alike hit their second wind and keep the vibes rolling.

Start with a mimosa (or three) at Ruby Slipper Café and then hit the French Market for vintage finds, art, and fried alligator bites (because America, y’all). Then come sundown, we suggest hopping on that streetcar (2 minutes from our front door, remember?) and heading to Frenchmen Street again, or exploring the sultry side of Bourbon Street.

From drag shows to burlesque, rooftop DJs to goth-glam cabarets—this city doesn’t sleep, and neither should you.

🎉 Sunday, July 6 – One More for the Road

Wrap up the weekend with a brunch that will bring you back to life. We love Elizabeth’s in the Bywater—where the Bloody Marys are spicy, and the praline bacon is sin in strip form.

Feeling extra holy? Pop into St. Louis Cathedral for a soul-reset before heading home. Or just confess your sins over crawfish étouffée—it’s still NOLA-approved.

🎯 So Why Stay With Us?

Because baby, we’ve got it all:
