COMING THIS WEEKEND!!!

Hey there, spooky souls and party ghouls — it’s Karen Brem, your ever-enthusiastic Marketing Director at the Historic Mardi Gras Inn, here to spill all the ghostly tea on one of my favorite events of the year: The Krewe of BOO! Parade! 🎃🦇
New Orleans — named one of the “13 Best Places to Visit for Halloween Around the World” — is already known for doing celebrations better (and louder) than anyone else. But when October 25th rolls around, this city turns the fright level up to fabulous, mixing Mardi Gras madness with Halloween glam for one unforgettable night! 🕸️💋
🕕 WHEN & WHERE TO CATCH THE HAUNTINGLY FABULOUS PARADE
Mark those calendars, boos! 🗓️
The 2025 Krewe of BOO! Parade kicks off on Saturday, October 25th at 6:30 p.m., and you do not want to be fashionably late to this ghostly gala.
📍 Parade Route
The monsters roll out from Elysian Fields Avenue and haunt their way through the French Quarter — down Decatur Street, past Jackson Square, up Canal Street, and down Tchoupitoulas Street before disappearing into the mist at Andrew Higgins Drive.
👻 Pro Tip: Get there early! The good spots fill up fast, especially near Canal and Decatur where the energy is downright electric.
🎨 THIS YEAR’S THEME: “MONSTERS, MAYHEM & MOONLIGHT” 🌕💀
Each year the creative geniuses at Kern Studios outdo themselves, and 2025 is shaping up to be a visual feast of fright! Expect massive glowing floats featuring vampires, swamp creatures, zombies, skeletons, and a few surprises that might just make you shriek — in delight, of course!
💜 What to Expect:
- Over 40 jaw-dropping floats designed with spine-tingling artistry 🕷️
- Marching bands, dance krewes, and fire performers 🔥
- “Throws” that include candy, beads, plush toys, and glow-in-the-dark trinkets 🎁
- Special guest appearances (the Krewe loves a little celebrity chaos!) ✨
This is not your average Halloween parade — it’s a full-on rolling Halloween party through the streets of the Crescent City!
👀 TOP VIEWING TIPS FOR THE ULTIMATE BOO EXPERIENCE
If you’re coming to play in our haunted playground, here’s how to make it count:
🕸️ Arrive Early: Stake out your spot by 5 p.m. for prime viewing (and people-watching).
🎭 Dress the Part: Costumes are encouraged — the wilder, the better! Think glitter, gore, and glow sticks.
🍹 Grab a Balcony View: Want VIP vibes? Snag balcony tickets at one of the viewing parties along Decatur or Canal Street — they often include food, drinks, and the best views in the Quarter.
🧛 Bring a Bag: You’ll need it for all those sweet treats and Krewe throws.
🦇 Stay Late: The after-party atmosphere downtown is pure Halloween bliss — live music, spooky cocktails, and costumed chaos.
